Visit of Ambassador and DA France on 21 Apr 2026

Bilateral relation between Bangladesh and France stands on mutual trust, respect and voice for global peace in harmony. France has been consistently supporting Bangladesh in developing her capacity. Both nations have consistently demonstrated their dedication to global stability. Bangladesh as one of the largest troop-contributing countries and France as a key strategic partner in peacekeeping operations. Over the years, our cooperation has evolved through mutual engagement in UN missions across different regions of the world. As a continuation of this, on 21 Apr 2026 His Excellency, the Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Mr. Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet visited Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training.

UN EP T3-1(1 Mar - 12 Mar 2026)

The Engagement Platoon Train-The-Trainer course started on 01 March 2026 with 19 participants for a duration of two weeks. Out of 19, 15 officers were from Bangladesh Army, 01 Officer from Bangladesh Navy, 02 officers from Bangladesh Air Force and 01 Officer from Bangladesh Police. To achieve the aim and objectives of this course, the course included lectures and interactive sessions. To make the training realistic and interesting, Situation Based Exercises in the name of ‘EX BLUE ENGAGER’, were conducted. There were also sharing of experiences by deployed EP Commander and experienced guest speakers. To apply the acquired knowledge, the course also conducted a one day Situational Training Exercise. Thereby the participants received a comprehensive understanding of all the lessons. Additionally, the course participants received practice on left hand driving vehicle. On 12th Mar 2026, all the participants were awarded with course qualification certificates and the course was officially terminated with the closing remarks by Commandant, BIPSOT.

Visit of Universities Delegation at BIPSOT

To enhance expertise in Peace, Conflict, Peacebuilding, and other contemporary global peace issues, BIPSOT has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, BRAC University, North South University, BUP, and Bangladesh Open University.

Under regular knowledge-sharing programs on this subject, the relevant departments of these universities are actively participating in various workshops, seminars, visits, and other activities organized by BIPSOT.
As part of this ongoing collaboration, on 3 February 2026, a delegation team from the University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University and Bangladesh Open University paid a training visit at BIPSOT.

BIPSOT Observes International Day of Peace

Visit of BCS and BJS Officers to BIPSOT

On 08 September 2025, officers from the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) visited the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) as part of their professional orientation program. The visit offered them unique opportunities to learn about Bangladesh’s contribution in global peacekeeping and BIPSOT’s role of preparing peacekeepers for peace operations in complex environment. The delegation enjoyed a warm welcome and joined a day-long program which included a comprehensive bri fing on BIPSOT and UN Peace Operations, a vibrant exchange of opinion session and an interactive tour to different academic &etraining facilities of BIPSOT. The delegation also witnessed live demonstration of different trainings and tactics/techniques of peacekeeping operations. The program ended with a group photo and luncheon. Overall, the visit showcased Bangladesh Armed Forces’ enduring commitment to global peace and solidarity. The visit also enabled bridging the understanding on peace and enhanced civil-military cooperation.
