Closing Ceremony of UNSOC-29 on 21 May 2026

The United Nations Staff Officers’ Course is an essential course for Staff Officers, who are likely to work in UN Peace Operations in any Sector or Force HQs.
The UNSOC-29 started at BIPSOT on 03 May 2026 and terminated on 21 April 2026. The course had a blend of participants, where 11 from Bangladesh Army, 01 from Bangladesh Navy, 02 from Bangladesh Air Force and 02 overseas participants from Morocco and Pakistan have attended.
The objectives of the course are designed to enhance the participants' understanding and skills necessary for functioning in a multi-dimensional peace support operation (PSO) environment. The course is tailored to the dynamic roles of military, police, and civilian staff officers in mission settings.
The course had an intense and compact training program. All the lessons of Core Pre-deployment Training Materials and Staff Officers Specialized Training Materials were covered. Besides the instructors from BIPSOT, the lectures were reinforced by 13 subject matter experts. The course ended following 3 days Scenario Based Exercise where staff functions of various branches of FHQ/SHQ were tested.
