Training of Trainers (ToT) on International Humanitarian Law (IHL)-1 from 02 to 06 July 2017

 

Objectives:

 a.         Introductory knowledge on ICRC, its mandate and activities. 

b.         Essentials of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) or Laws on Armed Conflicts (LOAC) including its origin, meaning, applicability, basic principles, protected persons and objects, sanctions, etc.

 c.         Differences and similarities between International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) and their interplay.

 d.         Non-international armed conflicts and internal security operations, emphasizing the differing laws and modes of operation that apply during such operations.

 e.         Peace Support Operations and relevancy of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in them.
